Bay Area to Celebrate Inauguration of Barack Obama with High Impact Party at Metreon in San Francisco

The San Francisco Bay Area will be able to share in the celebration of Barack Obama’s historic presidential inauguration, while supporting several local charities with the star studded Inauguration West party (http://www.inaugurationwest.com) January 20 from 6-10 p.m. at the Metreon. It was announced today.

With big screen footage from Washington D.C., live music from the energetic and highly entertaining Morris Day and the Time, and several celebrities and local leaders scheduled to attend, including California State Assemblywoman Fiona Ma, 49er football legends Ronnie Lott, Dwight Clark and Roger Craig, Stanford basketball great Jennifer Azzi, and Golden State Warriors Stephen Jackson, Jamal Crawford Corey Maggette and Ronnie Turiaf, among many others, Inauguration West offers the Bay Area a chance to participate in the presidential celebration.

“The Bay Area played a significant role in making the Presidency of Barack Obama a reality and we felt it was only natural that we join in the celebration of this historic event,” said Ave Montague, creator of Inauguration West. “We know that not everyone can make it to Washington D.C. for the inauguration, so we are focused on providing people here with the next best thing. The diversity, the colorful entertainment and the excitement of the evening will all reflect the candidacy of Barack Obama.”

The entertainment and atmosphere at Inauguration West will be as noteworthy as the occasion. Aside from Morris Day and the Time, the San Francisco Black Film Festival will present film clips of Barack Obama: The Man and His Journey; local artists will display Obama-related works; Energia do Samba, a Brazilian dance group, and Leung’s White Crane Lion dance club will add vibrant performances; and renowned DJs The Rick and Russ Show will play danceable popular beats. Food will be provided by several renowned restaurateurs and chefs, including Cindy Pawlcyn (Mustard’s, Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen and Go Fish of Napa) and Victor Scargle of Go Fish. Kevin Brown, host of the KBLX Morning Show, will emcee the evening’s events.

A portion of all proceeds will benefit local charities, including All Stars Helping Kids, Omega Boys Club, The Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) education programs and the San Francisco Black Film Festival’s Urban Kidz youth program.

The Obama Video Trailer for the book Obama in Wonderland rips on Barack Obama’s egomania and provides an ominous warning of political turmoil that highlights the Tea Party movement.

The :30 second spot produced by COS Productions begins with a spinning spiral disk with text that reads ‘He had a destiny’ and then switches to a photo of Obama with text that reads ‘But his ego was bigger’.

This is followed by text that reads ‘he wanted transformative change’. The image then changes to the revolutionary war era flag that says ‘don’t tread on me’ with a rattlesnake and the text reads ‘They wanted freedom not hoax and change’.

The final image is of the Queen of Diamonds with text that says ‘He made the mistake of thinking tea parties were about sipping tea’. The reference infers that Obama is the Manchurian President with Marxist leanings.

The book available at Amazon.com and selected retailers is titled Obama in Wonderland: Inside insane Hussein’s Looking Glass; a Silly Book for a Serious Time. The Barack Obama parody is according to author, Joe Sansone, also ‘a silly book with a serious message.’ In what may be the most politically incorrect book of the century, Obama in Wonderland pulls no punches in its condemnation of left wing statism and the inherent threat it poses to the republic.

The book is loosely based on the classic Alice in Wonderland, and is a light hearted political farce illustrating the bizarre nature and lack of reality surrounding the Obama Administration and its policies. Barack Obama is transported to Wonderland where he attempts to implement transformative change, but will Wonderland survive?

With a truly unique storyline, through a series of unraveling adventures, this fast paced story paints the picture of a president that is out of touch with reality. In this alternate reality, the factual fiction that is presented creates a uniquely modern tale that demonstrates both the dangers and folly of the current administration.

Although a political farce, Obama in Wonderland may be the most accurate depiction of President Obama and his policies in print. This may be the most important book that voters read between now and 2012.
