Okay, for people who make anymore than perhaps 70 grand are more than able to buy insurance and deal with the premiums, but from my experience, If you make 60 thousand dollars or less, you can only pay? for rent, groceries, utilities and taxes if you're taking care of yourself and 2 other people. Occasionally, yes, you'll see that they might have a used car, but, usually, people of that income level who are raing families can't afford to be paying an extra $1,000 every month on healthcare.

If she saw a doctor for the condition then it was a pre-existing condition. She could have asked to have that illness excluded. I wish I could pay for high risk and pay so? little.

Sometimes I wonder if those high risk pools aren't big money makers for the? states. The deductibles are so high that they never pay out and collect high premiums every month especially for people over 50.

Remember that little basal? cell cancer Laura Bush had removed from her leg a few years ago? I wonder if Laura realizes that she would never get a health insurance plan with that in her history.

As humans, we ALL have a "pre-existing condition". It's called mortality. I guess nobody should ever be covered because we're all continually at risk of dying (one day, that risk will become concrete reality).Magnetichaze: I have greater faith in your average American than you apparently do. You choose to live in fear of "what might happen";? I'd rather work towards achieving the vision of "what can be". Fear vs. Vision--after 8 yrs. of the former, the USA voted for the latter.

This healthcare bill? should be one page, and it should be a "full expansion of medi-care to all citizens" PERIOD. it works for our military, we owe this to ourselves.

Chim, Did you also know that according to the Congressional Budget Office... even after 10 YEARS... 17 Million still will NOT have health insurance under the obamer plan? That's the funny part on all of this... there's the assumption? that ALL will get covered (which it won't).... but we'll take the entire H.C. Industry and socialize it with the politicians telling us what type of H.C. we'll get... but NOT what THEY'LL be getting!

I find it strange that people are afraid of having politicians involved in deciding what sort of health care we receive, but don't bat an eye at Enron, Bernie Madoff and GM making those same decisions for them. At least we can get rid of? the politicians. Think Medicaire, which the politicos would never restrict because their constituents would throw them out on their arses.
